“In just 21 working days we completed the fire alarm and firefighting system for the largest data center in the Middle East.”

The project is to establish and install a full firefighting system using FM200 for the New Capital data center which is located behind Al-Masa Hotel, and presents the largest data center in the Middle East and North Africa region.
The challenge was to complete this huge project within a very short period of time, which is only three weeks. Such projects normally take much longer duration in order to be manifested in the best and most efficient quality.
However, at Intel, with a highly experienced team that works 24 hours a day with three consecutive shifts, we were able to complete the project on time.
About the client:
The customer is Egyptian Telecom Company. Certainly, there is no need for talks to introduce the most famous company and the giant of the telecommunications industry in Egypt.
It is the first telephone company in Egypt, which started with the inauguration of the first telegraph line in Egypt in 1854, and launched under its current name in 1998 when it replaced the National Telecom Entity.
According to the Assistant Prime Minister, Telecom Egypt aims through this project to strengthen the information infrastructure by linking the Capital Information Center with each of the unified data center and the Central Data Center of Madinaty and Al Shorouk.
To achieve this goal, it is imperative to provide all the necessary logistical services such as optical fibers, supply and installation of data transmission devices, surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and firefighting and here, the Intelli-Pro part came.
What did Intelli-Pro accomplish in the project and how did the work go?
We follow a precise, simple, and fast work system that avoids bureaucracy and complex procedures, as our projects start through three steps:
- Presenting our vision, project evaluation, and agreement on contract terms.
- Preparing a comprehensive work plan linked to a specific timeframe and then proceeding through thereof after the client’s approval.
- The beginning of implementation, taking into account all the international quality standards that distinguish us.
In this manner, our work in the data center of the New Capital proceeded, where we were able within 21 days only: to supply, install and operate a fire alarm system in 14 rooms; moreover, install firefighting systems using FM200 with a total of 2700 kg of material. We also applied two different systems to manage firefighting systems in an integrated manner with building management system.
